Hiking Trails
Signs along Walden Meadow Road mark the two entrances to the hiking trails available for use by all Walden Woods residents.

The "Blue Trail" is about 1/2 mile long and begins on Walden Meadow Road just behind the second pillar at the Marshall Phelps entrance to Walden Woods. This trail runs along the woods at the edge of the flower field and then turns right into the woods and towards the large pond where it meets up with the "Yellow Trail".

There is also an entrance to the Blue Trail at the end of the Marble Faun. Please use the stairway down the bank. Please respect the privacy of the residents on the circle.

Hikers continuing south on the Blue Trail will exit at Last Leaf Circle. The "Yellow Trail" entrance is near the Dam. This 1/3 mile trail intersects the Blue Trail, where hikers can turn left (north) toward Marshall Phelps Road or right (south)toward Last Leaf Circle.

While our Environmental Committee does their best to maintain the trail, hikers should be cautious about encountering poison ivy off the trail. DOGS ARE TO BE LEASED AT ALL TIMES. PLEASE CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR DOG.
