WALDEN WOODS COMMITTEES

With one exception, committees have been established by the Conservancy Board of Directors to serve as action advisory groups to the Conservancy Board.    The one exception is the Welcome Committee whose members independently provide a service of good-will specifically for new homeowners.

Members of each committee are volunteers who either pro-actively or upon request gather information on issues related to the committee's scope, meet as a group to discuss the issues and agree upon a recommended course of action for the Conservancy Board to consider.  In some cases, the committee members will become directly involved in coordinating the activity recommended to and approved by the Conservancy Board (i.e., the Building and Grounds Committee members might coordinate the planting of new shrubs or the Social Committee members might coordinate a holiday party).

Each committee has a Chairperson to organize and facilitate the meetings and an assigned member of the Conservancy Board of Directors to serve as a liaison between the Conservancy Board and the Committee.

ALL WALDEN WOODS HOMEOWNERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO JOIN ONE OR MORE OF THE COMMITTEES.  We can always use more help.  The only requirement for joining, besides being a Walden Woods homeowner, is to have an interest in preserving or improving the quality of life in our community.

If you have any questions about any of the committees or have an issue that needs to be resolved, please feel free to contact any member of the appropriate committee or a member of the Conservancy Board of Directors.
